Humanities 7 – Homework – Nov 3

Today in class, students reflected on what happened in the mock trial The People v. Columbus, et al by typing their drafts of the Columbus Trial Reflection. Students considered who was the most guilty of the killing of thousands, perhaps millions, of Taíno Indians in the years after 1492, and whether or not this event should be considered "genocide" according to the definition laid out by the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
