Mr. Valenzuela

US History – CSI Civil War

Staff Memo: URGENT

To: All detectives in Precinct TBA-2014
From: Police Commissioner Valenzuela
Subject: Gruesome homicide with over 620,000 dead

At the end of the four-year war known as the United States Civil War, there were over 620,000 total deaths. In assessing this major crime scene, there is plenty of blame to go around. Each day we will investigate new "suspects" that we have reason to believe were responsible for causing the Civil War and causing the deaths of 620,000 American lives. At the end of the investigations, it will be up to you to determine who (or what) was most responsible and to compile your findings into a report to a "grand jury" that will indict the criminals that caused so many deaths in the United States between 1861 and 1865.

Good luck detectives, I have full confidence that you will succeed in finding the culprits.

Sincerely, Commissioner V
