On page 42 of your notebook, answer the following questions IN COMPLETE SENTENCES as part of your research:

1) What is the name of your organization? In what year was the organization created?

2) How many total member countries are a part of your organization? Name six countries that are members of your organization.

3) What is the purpose of this organization?

4) The most truly "international" organization in the world is the United Nations (UN). Founded in 1945, the UN was created with the goal to promote peace and cooperation among countries of the world. How does the organization you researched compare in their mission to that of the UN?

5) What role do you think international organizations like yours play in promoting peace in the world (or their specific region of the world)? Explain your answer.
